Original Score – Frankenstein

In the Spring of 2024, I wrote, recorded and produced (using Ableton Live 12) a complete digital score for a theatrical play. The play was Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein, adapted by Danielle Mohlman. The project was 38 tracks in total and over an hour of music. I then worked with the playwright to license and package my music to sell online along with the script. I primarily took inspiration from the video games Bloodborne and The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask during my composition and sound design process. Additionally I created original foley sound effects, such as a neck snap made from crushing a bell pepper into a microphone. Attached is a full demo file of 5-second clips of all 38 tracks. The National Capital Area Cappies, a regional theater organization, awarded me a “Cappie” for creativity for this work.

Album – Unfiltered

I released Unfiltered on Spotify in the Summer of 2024. The album consists of three electronic pieces I wrote, produced, and mastered over the Spring and Summer. Below is a link to the album.

“After The Rain”, was the original piece intended for the opening of the score to Frankenstein before the piece was cut and only an abridged version was left in the final score.

“Dock Scene” tells the story of a video game protagonist escaping a collapsing factory.

“Red Sunset” Recycles a motif used in the score to Frankenstein, transforming the piece into a drum & bass remix.

Score – The Love Doctor

In 2023, I wrote a score for woodwind quintet and harpsichord for a production of Moliere’s The Love Doctor. During rehearsals, I worked with the director to integrate and choreograph the musicians into the play. I then conducted live onstage during the show. Like Frankenstein, my work was nominated for a “Cappie” for creativity.

Film Score – “Empty”

In the score to the short film “Empty” by Carson Ramey, I took inspiration from the score to the video game “Gris” in my composition. I worked to match my music to the ‘rhythm’ of the film; As the girl walks on stage, her footsteps sync with the polyrhythm in the lower register of the piano.
